Eileen Fegan, has lectured in Law for fifteen years in leading institutions such as Oxford University and Queen’s University, Belfast. She has also trained women’s and non-governmental organisations, medical and legal professionals worldwide. Eileen has a wealth of experience in conducting research and writing in the fields of Law, Politics, Education and Women’s Empowerment.
Eileen is also one of only two BBC Academy trained experts in the field of law (see http://www.youtube.com/user/bbcexpertwomen – Law). She has contributed her expertise to BBC Television and Radio programmes on current affairs and ethics across the UK since 2006.
Eileen can suggest and cover discussion items on any legal case at short notice. Her specialist fields are Medical Law and Ethics, Constitutional Law, Brexit, Equality, Discrimination, Human Rights, Criminal and Civil Law. She provided insightful commentary and context on the Charlie Gard (withdrawal of child medical treatment) case throughout 2017 on multiple BBC Stations, including Radio 5 LIVE.
